Visiting Scholars at NTPU

Eligibility
  • Visiting Scholars are scholars invited by departments/colleges at NTPU, and their purpose is to engage in teaching and/or academic research.
  • The applicant must NOT hold a student status.
How to apply

 

Application Procedures
  1. College/Department/Professor agrees to host & provides an official invitation letter.

     

  2. College/Department/Professor should be responsible for submitting the application form: 國立臺北大學邀請國際學人短期訪問申請表(in Chinese)Open in new tab, Download ODT fileOpen in new tab, Download ODT file to【Office of International Affairs, OIAat least a month before the visiting scholar arrives.
    You can submit the following applications at the same time:
    (1) Apply for Accommodation-International Scholars Hostel
    → Submit National Taipei University International Scholars Hostel Reservation Form 國立臺北大學國際學人宿舍借住申請表 to【Student Housing Section住輔組】 
    *Note: Fee would be around NTD 8,000 to NTD 15,000 per month. For more details, please refer to this page.                                                                                                                                                     
    (2) Apply for Internet Service
    → Submit Dot and network usage application form 網點及網路使用申請單 to【Computer&Information Center資訊中心】
     

    (3) Apply for Library Resources
    → Submit 借書證申請單 Open in new tabOpen in new tabOpen in new tab(in Chinese)Open in new tabOpen in new tabOpen in new tab to【Library圖書館】

    (4) Apply for Visiting Scholar ID Card.
    → Submit 國立臺北大學臨時證申請書 (in Chinese)Open in new tabOpen in new tabOpen in new tab to【Personnel Office人事室】
  3. Division of International Cooperation at the OIA will inform College/Department/Professor after the application is approved.
